How to participate in EMT 2025?

Please note that participants presenting a poster or delivering an oral presentation are requested to be present on-site for the whole duration of the event.

  1. Oral presentation:  Present your work in the format of a 10-minute presentation followed by 5-minutes of Q&A.
  2. Poster presentation: Share your work in the form of a hard copy poster (not e-poster) during the dedicated poster sessions. As a poster presenter, you will stand by your poster to engage directly with attendees, answering questions and discussing your work in depth.

The review process:

Abstracts submitted for oral presentation are reviewed and scored based on the originality of the work and data and potential significance of the findings. Participants whose abstract is not selected for oral presentation, can present their work in the form of a hard copy poster.

Please submit:

  • A short abstract: please follow the abstract guidelines listed below
  • Additionally, we welcome a 2-min video pitch of your work (not required)

Please note that the submission of a pitch video is not mandatory but encouraged for the selection for oral presentation

Abstract guideline:

Submit the abstract through the webform following these guidelines:

  • Abstract title: title should be clear, concise, and descriptive, effectively conveying the main focus of your work.
  • Authors and affiliations, with the name of the presenter first
  • The main text must be no more than 250 words, and should include the following information (it is not required to structure the main text in separate sections):
  • Introduction: Why is your work important? Does it fill any gaps in knowledge or research? What is the context?
  • Objective: What are the objectives of your work?
  • Methods: Explain the methodology, such as the study design and how the data analysis was performed.
  • Results: Describe the main results of your study. In case you don’t have (yet) results for your project, you can describe the expected results and possible impact of your research in the field.
  • Conclusion and future perspectives: Summarize the main findings of your work, the impact for the field and (if relevant) possible future perspectives.
